Royal Delft

In 2023 Workingbert presented at Masterly two wall hangings from the Tabula Rasa series.
Illuminated natural plant imprints on handmade paper.
These works were the starting point for the collaboration with Royal Delft.
A contemporary take on floral and leaf motives for the new RE-FRAMED wall plates.
In a process of pressing and steaming stacked hand picked wild and cultivated plants between rag paper in rust waters, the plants imprint themselves on paper. (A printing manner comparable with
eco printing)
This results in intense detailed images with a painterly quality and a coincidental stain of the fluid in which they were steamed.
The compositions referring to cheats of Herbaria  in which plants are being spontaneously flattened and set still in time .

The wall plates are completed by an extra layer with a geometrical border and dots as a reference toscientific measurements in contrast of the organic and fluid printed forms.

A contemporary ode to the tradition of decorating with plants, but instead of idealising nature forms, Workingbert uses in this series nature;s own material. Digital printing is Workingbert tool to
portray the high level of detail and color gradients of these ‘naturally occurring prints in a new tradition of RD.
